Apronalong - my finished apron

I love sewalongs.  This is my second one and again I have learnt so much.  Many thanks to Karen for organising the Apronalong and for her brilliant posts describing each stage of the make.  This is the first time I have used Tailor's tacks (should I be embarrassed to admit that?) and it is something I am definitely going to use on future projects, my pockets on bags will now be a lot more accurately placed!

A rare sight on this blog - a picture of me.  Thinking I've clearly been doing a bit too much comfort eating since being here so shall use my apron for making lots of healthy foods!

Don't you love this retro fabric?  There is an amazing little (literally it is about 3 meters square with no stock room) fabric shop around the corner from me and when she pulled this off the shelf I knew it had to be brought for this project.

I was a bit nervous of tackling all those curved edges but surprisingly they were not that tricky and I am really pleased with how my apron has turned out.

Have a look at this link to be able to see all the other aprons made; everyone has done such a great job.

  1. Oh, wow, I'm so thrilled that you made the same apron as me - and in such a different rendition. I really love it. That blue ric rac is so cute, your pocket ... aw, lovely. Thank you SO much for taking part!
